Communicate effectively with all business contacts and ensure everyone understands that an environment of open and honest communication is expected.Maintain a professional appearance, safe working habits, and compliance with all company policies.Interview customers to get as much information about the repairs needed.Identify, and communicate to the customer prior to opening any repair order, who is responsible for paying for the repairs.Complete and communicate repair estimates to customers and get approval for repairs.Open repair orders in a complete manner with all needed documentation.Dispatch work to technicians ensuring the right tech is given the right job and follow up with the technician through the repair process to ensure commitments are met and the repair is quality.Update the customer on their repairs as promised or two times daily.Receive payment (cash, check or PO) prior to truck leaving.Work closely with Parts to ensure all parts orders are tracked and customers are updated.Review each repair order when the job is done and prior to the technician clocking off to ensure: all paperwork is complete, support cases are closed properly and the technician's work area is clean; check the work on each job that is finished on shift to ensure a quality repair is completed and delivered to the customer; all needed documentation is present to file warranty (if applicable) to include software files, warranty parts tagged/returned, OEM case files updated and ECM images collected.Work to ensure that repairs and invoicing are completed within the standards for Repair Cycle Times.Experience with Freightliner, Sterling, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Pacar and Kenworth.

Seek out potential customers and cold call.Visit existing customers and deliver new specials weekly.Listen to customer concerns and relay them to management.Help design new parts specials.Listen to customers and turn what is said into the parts needed.

File warranty claims and complete warranty paperwork.Supervise and control workload of service technicians.Schedules service work according to priority and maintains an orderly flow of work.Advises customers of necessary repair service including estimates of cost; also makes recommendations to customers for preventative maintenance.Handles customer complaint problems pertaining to service and repair work.Responsible for keeping shop area clean.Works in coordination with Parts, Office, Sales and Management.Assist service personnel in diagnosing problems.Make sure job tickets are properly punched in and out on time clock.Updated job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
