Hello, my name is Caleb Washburn. I am a current Senior in the Capstone Scholars program at the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, majoring in finance with a concentration in business analytics. As the social chair of the Mu Lambda Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta, I am tasked with working with business owners, leading a team, and managing a budget of over $90,000. These tasks have taught me how to efficiently and effectively work with others to achieve a common goal, as well as pitch and sell ideas to said peers. Working with local business owners has greatly improved my ability to handle myself in a professional or business setting, often having to work closely with them to organize events with over 400 people. Managing a budget has taught me how to get the most out of every dollar I have, with as little extra expenditures as possible. As a delivery man for Budweiser of Spartanburg, I learned the importance of a strong work ethic, as well as how to interact with customers daily. Additionally, as a server at The Carolina Country Club, I learned how to work closely with others and train new team members. I was tasked with training new employees for day-to-day operations for two years in which I lead a small team daily to make sure they formed into assets to the company.
