I prepared and characterized novel heterogeneous catalyst formulations for a variety of hydrogen production reactions, including water-gas shift and ethanol steam reforming. I focused on improving the activity of these formulations at low temperature using various promoters.Characterization techniques included diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (DRIFTS), temperature-programmed reduction coupled with mass spectrometry (TPR-MS), and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD).I also wrote Python applications with tkinter-based user-interfaces designed to streamline data reduction and analysis.
