Growing up, I performed in many productions and shows and always wanted the leading role. What can I say, I knew the spotlight needed me in it. I would usually feel as if the world was about to end when I would receive a supporting role, cameo or even a backstage assistant position. Taking the backseat was not enough to stop me, rather, I found a new love in experiencing how people created a production from an idea to the actual performance. This sparked my interest in directing.Throughout my journey at Morehouse College, I directed many pageants and productions. I was the “go-to” director on campus and I didn’t take that role lightly. I was privileged to show everyone my craft, impact change to pageant culture, and inspire many students that came before and after me. After moving back home, I worked various positions that allowed me to utilize the skills I learned in college and harness them into creating, developing and completing projects. It wasn’t until recently that after deep research and tons of networking that I realized it was project management that is the career for me.If I’m not serving, key-holding or planning another catering event, you will find me brainstorming ideas with my friends about increasing our capital, listening to R&B and Pop music, or picking out an outfit for the next social brunch.
