I’m looking to use my background, experience, and passion for the environment within the sustainable finance industry to work with data about greenhouse gases or other environmental impacts, especially for reporting in Sustainability reports or government-required reporting. Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Colorado Denver, obtaining a Certificate in Sustainability. My undergraduate degree is in Geology, in which I focused on water policy, sedimentology, petrology, and geochemistry. Utilizing my geology degree, I worked for the City of New York as a Geologist and field inspector to manage and supervise the clean-up and redevelopment of properties with environmental concerns within all five boughs of New York City. My work as a geologist was not limited to environmental clean-ups; I also managed the office’s property tax analysis to calculate the amount of increased property tax revenues from the redevelopment of brownfields. After leaving the City of New York and returning to Colorado, I obtained a certificate in Data Analysis from a Grow with Google program. While getting the certification from Google, I started to work for a workforce development company that focused on providing outlines for critical conversations for management and additional information for developing new and experienced managers and executives. I’ve had a passion for the environment for my entire life and enjoy being outside in nature and ensuring a future for this planet. I am looking to return to the sustainability field to assist companies in assessing and creating pathways to achieve their sustainability goals. I am familiar with ESG reporting frameworks from the SASB and GRI guidelines and EPA’s Greenhouse Gas protocol.
