ZIRX is an on-demand valet parking and car services company that's charting the future of car ownership. The mission of the company is to eliminate all hassle associated with owning and using a car.While at ZIRX, I owned product strategy and product management and led the company away from a focus on solving parking to a much broader vision. As the sole product person, I worked with two designers and the engineering team to simultaneously build out 4 interwoven systems: the consumer app, the app used by the valets, the automated dispatch application, and the manual dispatch monitoring tools.Ultimately, I managed a product team that was responsible for the product strategy, the product roadmap, project management, and the pricing strategy, and for creating tools and materials to support the operations and marketing teams.

Chomp was the cutting edge of mobile app discovery, exploring and defining the frontiers of how mobile app ecosystems evolve and how people discover and share apps.I had the pleasure of working with the early team at Chomp where I helped rollout the Chomp Connect platform and partnership program, conducting developer outreach and on-boarding.

Aardvark was a pathbreaking start-up pioneering the intersection of social and search technologies. I was the first employee at Aardvark and initially was the "man behind the curtain" coordinating a team of people to manually send incoming questions to people in the Aardvark network to answer them.The data from these exchanges informed product decisions and became training sets for the algorithms that would eventually automate the service.Later, I coordinated community management, product support, and product operations for the company through the acquisition.

1-800-KNOW-NOW was started at a time when people were becoming increasing aware that all sorts of information was available on the Internet, but the Internet was not always available, particularly when mobile. I wanted to solve that problem.Through this service, you could from your mobile phone and immediately speak to a person who'd search the Internet for the information you wanted. Information like, "Where's a great toy store in Manhattan?"​ or "When is the Manchester United game this afternoon?"While this worked, the real discovery was that when you connect someone with a question to someone who has field matter expertise in that question, great things happen. The service turned from being about connecting people to information, to connecting people with people, in a scaleable way.
