Achieving a degree in Computer Science at the University of Kent has given me first hand experience developing software, managing projects and communicating with my peers about said projects. Most notably I have a lot of experience with Java as this was the primary language we worked with throughout the course, with other projects utilising HTML, Javascript, CSS and even Erlang just to name a few. My final year group project involved myself learning and developing a web page in the Flutter environment, further cementing my ability to take on a large-scale task, manage my time, learn something new, and produce a great product out of it.Also, my years working in retail and sale oriented environments as part of a team has given me many transferable skills to the software development world such as an ability to work in a goal oriented team, communicate meaningfully with customers (potential clients), and a strong work ethic.
