Design, fabricate and test fluid control components for YJSP’s flight vehicles.

Cadded a cart that allowed for alignment of parts in all 3 translational directions.Ran FEA simulation to determine validity of hand calculations, and to verify that the cart could support the weight of the 500 lb combustor with a large factor of safety. Performed post processing on an Inconel 718 3D printed part within the combustor, including tapping, drilling, and milling. Plumbed critical lines for fuel, air, and tracer particles used in laser imaging. Manufactured rig cart. Assessed sensor functionality and wiring of DAQ. Contributed to Matlab code that takes in .CSV file with thousands of entries taken during operation and extracts meaningful data. Plotted data and wrote about the significance of observed trends related to the operating principles of the combustor.

Diagnosed and fixed uncharacteristic sensor readings by repairing electrical wiring for thermocouples, pressure transducers, and electronic regulators. Repaired damage to combustor due to extreme operating conditions by machining new components. Wired up new sensors to DAQ and verified functionality. Found and fixed leaks in the rig's plumbing. Contributed to conceptual discussion about the physics of the combustor to clarify apparent discrepancies in data.
