Callum Young Email and Phone Number
A sensitive, enthusiastic and mature policy professional, passionate about using research to improve people's lives. Throughout my years studying neuroscience, I've been constantly enthused by the fast-paced realities of research, and the constant innovation which defines the life sciences.I am also aware of, and appalled by, the social injustice that dominates our national health landscape. I am determined to work with researchers to change the mental health conversation, and advocate for fairer and more equitable health policies in the UK.As a policy associate at Centre for Mental Health, I use my skills as a researcher to analyse population level data and identify key areas for mental health improvement. I also use my skills as a writer, thinker and organiser to prepare briefings on mentally health challenges across national and local government, and new policies to help challenge them. I have developed my understanding of public health, the importance of prevention, and the necessity to include the voice of lived experience in any work that is produced in this sector.
