Passionate about media, sport, popular culture, and news, I have spent more than 15 yearsworking in Higher Education, researching and teaching within the broad fields of Media Studies,Communication, Sociology, and Sport. As a lecturer and researcher, I have had the privilege toexpand my love for media and sport into a profession, and now seek to continue that within anindustry setting. My research and teaching has always had an industry focus, examining screenmedia flow, sports industries, film and television content, popular culture, and mediaconglomeration, and I relish the opportunity to explore these interests within industry contexts. My interests within these fields are wide and eclectic, and I have published extensively withinthese broad topics, appeared regularly in the media to comment on social, cultural, and industrialtrends related to sport and screen media, and currently serve on the Editorial Board of the Sagejournal, Communication and Sport.During my professional career, I have utilised the very wide job scope within Higher Education todevelop and hone skills across writing, research, presenting, public speaking, editing, marketing, publishing, public engagement, market analysis, and contextualising social, political, and culturaltrends. I am regularly asked to appear in media to elaborate on contemporary issues.
