Responsible for the day to day running of RDG’s Glasgow office. Ensuring work is effectively transferred between offices and teams. The main contact for Glasgow clients, taking enquiries and responsible for pricing projects, jobs cost/ invoicing. Leading a team of engineers, providing project support and checking. Managing and appraising performance as well as being direct line manager for Glasgow office engineers.

Managing a small engineering team under the guidance and support from senior managers. Attending daily meetings ensuring smooth transfer of work between offices, carrying out monthly one to one’s and also yearly appraisal. Responsible for the checking, training and development of individuals as well as providing project support.

As well as being a recognised checking engineer for for RDG's scaffold designs, I have also had the pleasure of working on the following projects: Hinkley Point C, 2021Design of a temporary enclosure to allow the application of foil and resign to specialised tanks. Once these were applied the scaffold was design to allow all high-level ties to be removed, the temporary roof to split down the middle and slide away from the enclosure on a propped cantilever scaffold creating a fully opened roof for the internal tanks to be craned out.High Speed 2 (HS2), 2019 – OngoingAppointed Task Information Manager. Responsible for the co-ordination and direction of all project information and tasks in compliance with agreed systems and standards in a common data environment.AT-PAC Ringlock Evaluation, 2020An independent evaluation of AT-PAC testing documents from a new supplier. All information was examined and a report was produced providing advice on meeting the certification standards for British and European design codes.Westminster Hall – UK Parliament, 2018Detail drawings of an access scaffold to Cromwell Tower. 25m bridging spanned between two birdcage structures, supporting 14 tons of scaffold that encapsulated the tower. Due the grade one listed building, precautions were taken to protect the building from the temporary structure. Calculations were provided for the Niko running beams that supported the tower encapsulation.
