Calum Duncan Architects are an award winning practice working across Scotland on low energy and Passivhaus projects, both new build and alterations. Our work includes spaces and places for living, learning, working and relaxing, where our creativity and sensitive approach can improve the enjoyment and wellbeing of our everyday lives.Calum Duncan is a certified Passivhaus designer, and an RIBA Conservation accredited and an RIAS Sustainability accredited architect. With over 20 years’ experience, Calum has worked on four RIBA award winning projects, including the Stirling Prize shortlisted Dance Base in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket. Calum was lead designer for Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation for the University of Edinburgh – which was both the first listed and first refurbished building to achieve BREEAM ‘Outstanding’. Calum is chair of the board at Play Scotland.Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen (BSc Hons) Masters degree at University of Strathclyde (March)ARB registered Architect, 1999. Calum has spent 10 years sitting on the Cockburn Association Cases Committee and sits on the Cockburn Urban Design Group. Experience as architecture studio tutor at University of Edinburgh for 5 years and has been a visiting critic/ lecturer at Strathclyde University, Mackintosh School of Architecture and Manchester School of Art.
