Significant project experience included working on the Stirling Prize shortlisted Dance Base in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket; Dance City, Newcastle with a multi-use programme of flexible dance studios. Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, for the University of Edinburgh, is the first listed building to achieve BREEAM ‘Outstanding.’ This experience demonstrates Calum’s interest in, multi-use and educational building programmes. Calum currently sits on an invited reference group for the Scottish Executives Place Standard tool, being developed specifically for Children and Young People.Calum Duncan Architects are interested in working across Scotland and comfortable with working for both private or public clients as well as cooperatives or community organisations. Our experience and expertise includes varied and often complex client organisations, but our ambition is to focus on any client’s ultimate aims and values.
