I had the amazing opportunity to intern at Wicresoft for the international team in Shanghai, China. As a team, we worked together with different departments and other interns to complete reports and presentations. We also had opportunities to produce our own reports which senior management used to evaluate potential acquisitions in the UK and Worldwide market:• Produced daily financial reports and newsletters in key areas including FOREX, bonds and private equity• Analyzed the Hotel and Motel market, and UK based cloud computing companies for possible acquisitions• Presented daily and weekly opportunities with the international team to superiors and other departments• Taught weekly basic skill classes to Chinese co-workers and senior management

Developed a phone application which allowed users to easily create reminders and to-do lists up to twice as quick as the stock reminders solution. Although just being a side project, I achieved some amazing awards and milestones such as:• The application was downloaded over ten-thousand times and rated in the ‘Top 200 free apps’ in 3 countries worldwide as well as being featured on multiple famous review websites including BGR and AppAdvice• Designed an online campaign which caused downloads to increase by over 1900% in under 24 hours

I was offered the opportunity to come and work for Oak Futures for two weeks over the summer of 2014 in the back office where I preformed the following tasks:• Analysed and monitored risk on real time trades using in-house built software, while ensuring front and back office positions matched• Created ‘risk calculating’ and exchange rate spreadsheets which improved currency conversion speed• Researched and presented new market opportunities to departmental heads and traders daily• Ensured all trading platforms were consistently running while operating and maintaining new systems

For my first expereince working in an office I completed a summer rotational internship at ADM. This really boosted my confidence and I had a great deal of responsibilities from the beginning. In the two weeks, I was able to complete the following as well as interact with multiple departments and networked with co-workers and management:• Used Bloomberg Terminals to develop research presentations on the commodities market for stockbrokers to recommended to clients• Streamlined client query search by migrating databases from MS Office Excel to Access which lead to an over 50% speed increase• Completed background checks on potentially new clients and organisations in HR
