About Calvin Low

Achievement was always my aim in life and I always believed only the sky is the limit. After graduated from technical college in Mechanical Engineering, I involved in project management works for 2 years dealing with kitchen equipment. Later, I started my sales career in an automation company. However, I decided to further enhance my skills and I becoming a full time life insurance agents after a year as sales engineer. I learned a lot as an agent because it required convincing, presentation and negotiation skills. Besides, cool calling and others marketing activities to generate sales leads are very crucial to ensure the realization of sales into income.After 3 years, I realign my life after my marriage. With my technical background and selling skills, I enter a company dealing with various industrial products involved in repairing, welding technologies, filtration system and specialty lubricants from Germany. I spent 8 years working from Sales Engineer to Product Manager handling various products for various industries like Foods, Port, Pharmaceutical, Automotive and Metalworking etc.Later, I move into a German principle Specialty Lubricants Company and becoming Key Account Manager for 5 ½ years handling major accounts as well as developing distribution channels in East Malaysia and Brunei for O&G, Marine and others industries. The strategy was about providing value-added solution to the customers with a premium price. At the same time, I graduated from MBA in Marketing by University of Derby, UK.Now, I move on as regional BD role to develop AP market. In 3 years, I managed to increase the turnover > 4 times in volumes due to my deep understanding in Chinese language and working cultural. My main responsibility was to establish distributors mainly in China and work with our colleagues in Japan and Korea. Besides, my tasks also include product development, competitor analysis, setting pricing strategy and profitability.
