Working in the Task Force maintenance team as a start-up support and breakdown fitter. I am involved in preventative, commissioning, corrective and reactive maintenance to start up issues on all process plant equipment, in accordance with the requirements of the maintenance system. Raising work orders and updating information in computerized maintenance management systems (JDE). Fault Finding and diagnosing issues with all types of mechanical equipment. Commissioning activities on MR and PR compressors, Isolations, mechanical seal replacement, valve troubleshooting, repair and change out, along with all aspects of flange management. I prepare permits, certificates, JHA’s P&ID’s and 3D models for work packs. Work order updates on CMMS (JDE). Working with ITR, CTP, isolations and permit to work systems as set out by Chevron and UGL HSSE and QMS procedures.

Working as a mechanical fitter in projects and maintenance. Tasks include the assessment of any pre-work to ensure safety requirements are met, i.e. dropped object protection, crane requirements, permit preparation and general job scoping. Fixed plant maintenance including isolations, valve changeouts, installing new pipework in accordance with site flange management protocols, vertical and horizontal heat exchanger overhaul and refurbishment; flange inspection, analysis and repair. Pneumatic and Hydrotesting vessels and pipework, recording the results and fault finding any issues. Completing all work to Monadelphous and BP safety and quality procedures

Working in the Specialised and Rotating Equipment (SRE) department of maintenance on the refinery. I worked under integrated safe systems to work, including Lock Out, Tag Out procedures and Control of Work Systems. Responsibilities included rotating equipment fault finding and rectification on centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbines, pumps and gearboxes onsite and in a workshop environment. This involved the machining manufacture of components, mechanical seal installation and repair, dynamic balancing of rotating assemblies, modification of bearing housings, machining new spigots for tightening clearances back to OEM specifications.
