Established at Duke University during the 2021-2022 academic year, the EJ Oral History Project is a multi-dimensional storytelling program that aims to elevate and uplift the personal experiences and narratives of historically underserved populations with regard to environmental justice. This project hopes to document a history of environmental experiences in the American South, injustices and place-based pleasures, through communal storytelling, adding a humanist and documentary perspective on environmental issues while advocating for just, equitable, and anti-racist solutions.

A collection of long-form articles cataloging the environmental racism within climate disasters in the U.S. South. Centered on the impacts of government disinvestment, flooding, hurricanes, and other extreme weather events.

Developing works of creative non-fiction for EIC's Eatin' Good collection, a collaboration with Grist to catalogue Black food ways, climate change advocacy, and agriculture.

Earth in Color is a creative studio that was created to affirm the inherent connections between the African Diaspora and Nature. As Associate Editor I am lead writer for EIC's Earth Curiosity series, which connects Earth Science, Innovation, and Land History. I also produce pieces at the intersection of Blackness, Indigeneity, Place, and Nature/the Outdoors for EIC's UNEARTHED and Lifestyle series.
