Our common cause was working on the archiving and film productions of recording artist Neil Young through his production brand Shakey Pictures. During my years working with this group I performed a multitude of jobs helping with the release of several big projects. Some of my tasks included: quality assurance, transcription, internal archival research, equipment research, stock content acquisition, story boarding, DVD and Blu-ray manufacturing, managing physical media database, reel-to-reel film research, and brainstormed and developing ideas for music videos and side projects.Along with doing work with Shakey Pictures I worked with many of the same freelancers in another company in the same facility: Upstream Multimedia and Upstream Touring. Many of their clients were hip-hop and pop artists who needed video content for their tours. With Upstream I helped acquire and prepare assets for what would end up in the final product on the tour, as well as assisted on any shoots that were required to produce content that the artists needed. Every day of this job required working as a team, to make sure we were all on the same page and moving forward in the most productive way possible. The expectations of Neil Young as well as the many clients that came through Upstream were high; and we always wanted to make sure that we met and exceeded what was expected of us in order to make the best final product to please our clients as well as their fans.

I worked closely with the other Administration Assistant as well as the Office Manager and theContent Producers of the company. On the administrative side I worked with keeping our Filemaker files up to date with current client information, stocked and organized our physical media database, took and delivered lunch orders, and organized, packed, and sent off daily shipments. With the Producers I was assigned tasks to help with current film productions including picture scanning, transcribing, quality assurance, searching for and acquiring stock content, and searching and buying props for shoots as well as assisting camera operators during shoots.

I was responsible for the making and canceling of reservations as well as welcoming our guests and checking them into the their rooms. As part of the daily duties it was my charge to ensure the quality of each guest's stay during their visit and upon checkout. Often I was relied upon to recommend activities for our guest to do with their time and solving any problems that arose when expectations of our guests were not met. The goal was always to create an experience that would turn a customer into a lifetime patron of the hotels, especially at times when they were upset with one or more aspects of their stay. As part of my back office responsibilities I had to track and balance the revenue that I received from our guests at the end of each day.
