I work 15 hours a week working with two other student employees to handle paperwork, reconcile budgets, and ensure safety measures are taken from Santa Clara University's 17 club sports programs. I have become proficient at many excel functions because of my work with budget spreadsheets. I have also developed my skills with social media by posting to the Campus Recreation Facebook Page multiple times a week.

I tutor students in Business Calculus I and II at Santa Clara University. I work drop-in shifts as well as individual appointment tutoring.This has really helped me to understand my own personal teaching style and how each student's learning style is unique. The first couple individual appointments, I had to make amendments to my original teaching style in order to fit each students needs.

I currently work as a Peer Educator for the Introduction to Business class that is required of every first year business student. I help the students to understand and play a business simulation (Mikes Bikes) to help apply their learning from class to a real world application.This has helped me to understand how different styles of teaching and tutoring can be applicable to specific students. I have also been able to learn different perspectives on the business world from the Professor who teaches the class, Professor Finocchio.

This job requires a significant amount of personal responsibility. I work with one other coach to teach lessons to tennis players from ages 4-18. Abilities vary and some play on the local high school's varsity tennis team.My responsibilities include creating lesson plans, coordinating matches with other coaches, and maintaining contact with the parents. I work with the other coaches to make sure that the kids are not only learning how to play, but more importantly, are having fun with the game and wanting to play more.Last summer I also coached 125+ hours of private lessons.

I worked in the textbook department of Santa Clara University's Bookstore. This department is focused on getting students the books they order, handling other university's loaned books, and helping students to understand the renting process. This job has given me experience when working in a team. During the busy times of the academic quarter, there will be 4-5 employees working to fulfill and manage book orders from students. Within this process, I learned how to work a new POS system, customer service skills, and the interactions between bookstore delivery systems.

As a finance intern on this political campaign, I work with the finance staff to raise money for the campaign. This involves research of donor history, biographical data, and contact information for potential donors to the campaign. I also also aided in contacting donors to secure matches of their previous contributions.In this job I consistently work with NGP (a Democratic donor program) and votebuilder. I have learned skills involving research and biography building as well as persistence and persuasion to get donors to commit to the campaign.

As a desk staff employee at the tennis center, I was responsible for the everyday activities within the club. This included checking members in, billing and charging members, making reservations, and general cleaning, and upkeep of the club.At first, it was difficult to get used to the 8-9 hour shifts right after a full day of high school. I quickly learning many different customer service techniques and general ways to handle a billing operating system without the help of a manager or other staff.
