Produce Manager
CurrentOversees operations and staffing for the produce department within the grocery store. Ensure quality and freshness of all produce. Manages department inventories by tracking weekly sales reports and order product and supplies to meet customer requirements and the company’s gross profit goals. Schedules all produce associates, oversees and assist with their training, rewards and recognizes their performance and delegates their work assignments so as to most effectively utilize their talents and abilities. Develop and implement localized merchandizing plan for department, set up and create displays for new and seasonal items as well as items tied in with department promotions. Receiving merchandise including Inspecting the product when delivered. Restocking cases to insure freshness and quality, accuracy and product rotation. Maintain effective housekeeping program. Keeps merchandise clean and fresh to meet all health department regulations. Ensures that associates work and operate equipment in a safe manner at all times. Provide excellent customer service to our shoppers making customers needs the priority. Help create a work environment that is cooperative, fun and Safe that focuses on solutions instead of problems.
