I established and ran a department of ten staff which provided the following services to the group's subsidiary companies and selected external customers: - Business Application management including selection, customization & configuration, support and training - ICT Infrastructure maintenance across five sites and almost one hundred fixed and mobile users - ISO 9001 Quality Management System supervision, extension and training - Support to the Business Development function for the design and implementation of new operational units

Reporting directly to the CEO, I ran most day-to-day aspects of the business and executed several restructuring projects, including: - Operational design and establishment of a new business unit which now has a multimillion USD turnover and its own management team. - Operational Restructuring of the group's maintenance contract services department to improve quality, visibility to senior management, streamline procurement and reduce costs. - Reorganization of the central procurement function to improve consistency and accountability

In this caretaker role, I overhauled the group's trading unit, leading to reduction of bad debt by over 90% and establishment of relationships with new suppliers for key product lines. I also used a mixture of new recruitment, training and staff repositioning to create a more efficient and motivated operational team.
