I have taught ReadWriteInc. phonics to Year 1 and Year 2 on a daily basis. I covered PPA in Year 3 by planning and teaching the JIGSAW scheme of PSHE and mental health awareness. I delivered 1:1 interventions to a Year 3 pupil with autism spectrum disorder to develop their emotional intelligence and awareness. I 1:1 taught a Year 5 new-to-English EAL child English lessons to develop their vocabulary and grammar in readiness for their SATs. I supported the learning of children of all abilities in Years 3, 5 and 6. I planned and ran an after school booster session for Year 2 greater depth writers. I implemented and followed school safeguarding policies and procedures. In addition to my duties outlined above, I carried out a lunch-time playground duty every day and I attended parents evening. I supervised on school trips to the theatre supporting and safeguarding the children. I put up creative and innovative displays that helped the children access their learning.

I planned, taught and assessed all core and foundation subjects to a Year 6 class in preparation for their SATs. I used data to plan for and run an intervention group of SEN and low-attaining children so that they may better attain in their SATs. I attended staff meetings so that I could receive CPD and remain knowledgeable of whole-school initiatives safeguarding the children on and off-site was one of my responsibilities, particularly when I risk assessed and organised a school trip to the Walker Art Gallery and when I accompanied Year 6 and Year 3 on swimming trips. I carried out a break-time duty on alternate days.
