There are 165 events a year in the United States alone comprising thousands of horses and riders involving a mountain of data.Before In The Black entered the scene, statistical data from scoring, judging, and countless other metrics were logged and submitted manually via paper and pencil. We revolutionized the industry by designing and developing a software application that officially introduced the industry to the digital age by allowing statistical data to be tracked, synchronized, and submitted with secure cloud databases and helper applications.

Joined as a software engineer within the fast paced technical development department of CPSI, a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions and services for community hospitals and post-acute care facilities. The Technical Development department is the heart of CPSI, providing advanced software services to CPSI's electronic medical record (EMR) system. These servers provide healthcare facilities with a total IT package. Facilities can plug and play with these systems integrating healthcare record data in acute and ambulatory, post acute, and patient engagement settings.

Oversaw the quality control department at Merrimac Industrial Sales, a Northeastern based electrical product development and sales company. It was my duty to ensure industrial controls products met quality and efficiency standards set forth by the controls industry. As forerunner of the QC department, I implemented test procedures, and error tracking database, and helped define workmanship standards the Merrimac technicians are held to today.

Within an AS9001 certified electronics laboratory, I supported Luma Tech's product design efforts through circuit layout, prototype construction, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying developmental electronic avionic components. This included parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer, aircraft annunciators, test equipment, and machine tool numerical controls; applying the principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics.

As a major contributing member of Spacelabs Healthcare's research and development operations, my duty was to ensure prototyping of next-generation patient connectivity machines ran smoothly and efficiently. My research was focused primarily on development and test non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) monitors for adult and neonatal applications.

As a test engineer with Honeywell Aerospace, I collaborated with electrical and software engineers from around the world to develop the Multiple Recording Test System (MRTS). This system is in use today performing production line qualification testing of Boeing 787e flight recorders "black boxes".

Spectrum Controls provides hardware and related software products for the industrial controls marketplace. My role in research and development was to assist in the prototyping and qualification phases of data acquisition modules, human-machine interfaces, and programmable logic controllers (PLC) and communications devices before they could be placed into production.

Aviation electronics technicians (ATs) repair some of the most advanced electronics systems in the world. Repair jobs can range from flight deck troubleshooting of the electronic weapons system on an EA-6B Prowler aircraft to changing computer circuit cards in an air-conditioned shop. Aviation electronics technicians troubleshoot and repair a number of complex electronics systems. Employing all the latest test equipment and procedures, ATs put that training to use repairing systems such as:• communications (UHF, ICS)• navigation (ADF, TACAN)• infrared detection • radar• laser• electronics• fiber optics• digital computers (AYK-14)• installing field changes, alterations and modifications to avionics systems.You cannot get the AT rating as a "guaranteed job" in your enlistment contract. It is earned.
