I initiated the implementation of new Access database reporting functions that improved efficiency, accuracy, and landed cost visibility. I then worked with the accounting department to streamline the inventory accounts payable process. This helped eliminate the need for a dedicated full time inventory accounting employee.• I worked with customs brokers to expedite proper clearances and reviewed customs entry summaries for accuracy. I also maintained compliance with Customs and Border Protection Regulations, new Importer Security Filing (10+2) Regulations, and revised Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act Regulations.• I also worked with Quiksilver’s Asian Soft Goods Sourcing Team to correctly classify samples and new production products according to the United States International Trade Commission’s Harmonized Tariff Schedule. I revised the Soft Good Supplier’s Export Manual to reflect current regulations and business practices.

I then trained the new Tramade Lumber Inventory Manager on database procedures and export shipment preparation and continued to supervise these shipments remotely from Oregon. I also supervised break bulk lumber shipments loaded on charter vessels and discharged at Caribbean ports to ensure proper handling and order distribution.• I managed Interamerican Woods’ delinquent accounts receivable by issuing interest accrual invoices and performed collections to reduce write offs. I also worked on accounts payable, invoicing, and inter-company reconciliations.
