Hello! My name is Cam and I'm a data and cloud engineer. I graduated with my bachelors in Computer Science and since then have been focusing on cloud and data technologies. Most recently, my work has been focused in AWS for data pipelines (EMR/Hadoop, Flink, Kafka) and ETL using Glue, S3, and Athena. I love the field and am currently learning as much as I can every day (working on AWS Certified Solutions Architect currently).Within AWS, I've worked primarily on Python apps and bringing Java apps up to date using Git while working collaboratively. Some of my other most recent experience:- Writing SQL for data transformations according to mandated business logic in coordination with data scientists- Writing SQL for complex queries for data auditing- Developing log parsing tools in Python for performance tuning analysis and- Working inside of an Agile/Scrum framework and working in highly distributed teams (Azure DevOps)I have strong time-management, problem-solving skills, and high work with developed from fulltime school while working fulltime in a labor job. My leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills come from multiple leadership positions in the Marine Corp as an Infantry Leader (overseas and domestic, collaborating with foreign military allies). My communication skills are well developed, both verbal and written.“Data is gold, and data engineers are in the mines.”
