At the beginning of this new position my team and myself stood up Business Intelligence Community of Excellence as well as Tableau Sever. This community’s goal is to drive Huntington into an analytically driven company that can make rapid decisions with the data available to various business segments. This is a cross-platform community that will help users make analytical reports and decisions regardless of the used platform. To establish this community we created a multitude of training guide and media channels for community members to use. During this first year I earned 3 Tableau certifications, and learned Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep Conductor. I also have begun taking steps to learn Tableau Server currently I know a lot of the workings of the Web Facing side of the platform. In the future I hope to earn a certification for Tableau Server. During this year we concluded that Tableau will now be the primary BI platform for out enterprise. This in turn has spawned a vast amount of conversion work as we transition away from our other existing BI platforms. On top of this we also began implementing the second version of a massive reporting initiative into this new tool with the intention of rolling this out to out targets business partner. During my work to drive Tableau adoption I have introduced close to 100 projects into the Tableau Server environment. These projects span many business groups all of who have different reporting needs and data. This has widened, strengthened, and diversified our community.
  • Huntington National Bank
    Business Inteligence Developer
Huntington National Bank Mar 2019 - Nov 2021
    Columbus, Ohio Area
During this first job “position” that I held at Huntington I worked on and achieved the following:Assisting users with ad-hoc reporting and helping them troubleshoot their issues in a timely fashion. Identifying data issues that our colleagues are facing and working with team members to create solutions. Setting aside time to work with colleagues to train them on how to use the MicroStrategy tool. With these meetings, we discuss things such as their data issues, steps they can take to improve their reporting, changes occurring in various environments, and planning road map and goals to reach their desired reporting requirements. During a massive reporting project initiative I took the lead to talk to the business about what data they wanted, how they wanted it defined, and what story it should tell their users. Additionally, throughout this process, I coached them on which decisions would lead to a scalable and robust final product. Resulting from this project we were able to help the business segment team eliminate over 50 reports that colleagues were having to create manually on a weekly basis. I played a role in the MicroStrategy upgrade to the 2019 platform, this upgrade was completed successfully ahead of time and under budget. I have worked with my team to create a proper naming convention for our Objects as well as how their descriptions should be formatted. I released a new suite of Landing Pages that are now controlled by the business segment to drive better content quality to their users.

  • Tennis Central Corp
    Sales And Marketing Intern
Tennis Central Corp May 2018 - Aug 2018

During my time as an employee at Tennis Central Corp, I have improved my IOS knowledge by designing and assisting in the development of the new “Tennis Central Platinum” app for our new platinum private lessons experience. This experience is for very wealthy individuals, and thus this system had to be seamless and well designed. I also contributed to the creation of multiple online stores for the company to house its products and collect payments from its customers. With these actions, the company has seen a rise in revenue and increased satisfaction in the online transaction process. Next, I helped in the creation of multiple web pages for the company to advertise itself and to display its product offerings for each of its locations. We have already begun to see advertising traction and an increase in our customer bases due to these additions.
