The clothing industry is in my blood. As a third generation rag-trader it’s difficult for me to imagine doing anything else. After all, what else could beat the ever-changing and exciting world that is the rag trade? At university I aspired to work in and run a successful small to medium sized business. That’s exactly what I’ve been doing since joining Auravale Industries 19 years ago.During that time I’ve seen a vast change in the industry both at home and abroad. My business regularly takes me to Europe and Asia as well as North America and Australia. The same transformational changes have occurred in all part as the world and it’s been critical that any business wishing to remain successful and relevant has had to constantly update and adapt to these changes. Lucky for me I’m energised by the opportunities that are created by a dynamic environment.

  I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to guide Auravale through countless changes, especially over the past decade. These changes include the diversification into distribution of more and varied international clothing brands, as well as the establishment and managing multiple successful retail ventures. Throughout this I have maintained all financial and logistical aspects of the Auravale business.As somewhat of a side-line I’ve applied some of my experience in helping two of our customers who found their retail businesses in financial trouble. Through the application of my many years of experience I have been able to help these business owners turn their failing businesses to profitable in less than 9 months. I am immensely proud of this achievement.I remain excited about the future of the clothing industry and look forward to managing the changes that will be so obviously required as we continue to adapt and grow.
