In this role, I was the first face and voice of the office. responsible for all front office activities for a single doctor practice specializing in neuro-optometry. I performed tasks in multiple areas of the business, from scheduling to accounting and insurance claims to patient diagnostic testing depending on need through COVID-19 pandemic.Beyond gaining exposure to many aspects of operating a medical practice, I also revitalized the way our office operations by:1. Introducing a new communication platform that revolutionized how our office performed scheduling, billing, and secure document sharing2. Streamlining the tracking and management of patients and treatment plans in various stages of weekly outpatient therapy.3. Developing written operating procedures for all administrative duties to improve office organization and preserve key information.

As a Student Circulation Assistant, my responsibility is to support the staff supervisors in the execution projects and tasks, such as item retrieval and processing.I was lucky in my time with the library to be asked to participate in multiple larger projects and initiatives, including the assimilation of three separate library collections totaling 250,000 volumes into a single browsable location, in addition to a smaller collection shift of approximately 40,000 volumes, assisting with the preservation of degrading materials into library archives, the initial cataloguing over 13,000 pieces of the library's microform collections for transfer to the annex, the building and upkeep of two colleges' course reserves collections, totalling at peak around 400 physical items and over 200 electronic reserves. Finally, I was also responsible in my later years for the training of all incoming student staff, totalling around 30 junior library assistants.
