I have finally made a commitment to start writing a book, nothing spectacular it will be a plant book to preserve the old Arrernte names that people are forgetting. I will be working with family on the book so I am hoping it will be an enjoyable experience. I was fortunate to secure some grant funding to help me along the way. I suppose I can now add successful grant writer to the many strings in my job experience bow. I am also currently working on 2 cultural projects one is doing a consultation with community about the establishment of a Language Centre in Central Australia for the local languages, this one is a paid gig. The other is a personal project as a nod to my ever inspiring Mother, which is to build a language and cultural Centre on our homeland, we have a building design (of sorts) but need to raise some capital to get the building started. I am hoping we can get things happening in the next 2 years, this years. Enough about me
