Serve and support the alumni, alumni families, former staff, and former board members of Carolina Friends School. In essence, I reach out to these individuals, pull them into a closer relationship with the School and each other, and love on them. As a parent of CFS alumni, I am grateful to be part of an institution that empowers its students to question the world around them, discover their passions, think deeply, and use their voices in service of the greater good. I have witnessed that empowerment in action and its enduring impact on my own children and others of the CFS community.

Assist clients in managing relationships, raising awareness and securing critical funding through strategic planning based on articulation of their purpose, needs, challenges, opportunities and successes. Clients include: Orange County Rape Crisis Center, The ArtsCenter, Musical Empowerment, Boys and Girls Clubs of Central North Carolina, TelAbility - UNC, St. Vincent de Paul Louisville, Easter Seals of SW FL.

Managed broad range of efforts to garner resources for and promote the work of Community Home Trust in fulfilling its mission to strengthen the community with permanently affordable housing opportunities. Resource development efforts resulted in continuous fund growth, greater fund diversification, and increased volunteer engagement.

Worked with company liaisons to lead successful workplace giving campaigns that benefited the NC Triangle community. Key attributes that made these targeted campaigns thrive included: collaboration with and guidance for the company representative, public speaking messages that resonated with the audience, and overall campaign strategies that moved employees from awareness to participation.

Worked with 30-member board and a league of volunteers, who were committed to building and sustaining a unique urban park to engage the citizens of Durham. Fundraising was priority to secure resources for development of this re-claimed green space. In addition, building and strengthening good relationships with our constituents, neighbors and community partners was essential to the success of our work. Consideration, coordination and collaboration were the guidelines for advancing the organization and the park.

Coordinated the workplace giving campaign for five companies, each of which met or surpassed their fundraising goal, resulting in nearly $5 million collectively. Throughout the 2005 campaign, I made over 100 presentations to employees throughout the Triangle. In addition, I managed the presentations for the five companies by securing speakers from recipient agencies and Triangle United Way when I could not be in attendance. In recognition of my service, my colleagues selected me as their "Loaned Executive of the Year", an honor for which I am extremely humbled considering the talent and efforts of my peers.
