From 2010-2013, I acted as a mentor and facilitator for an event I created within the Recreation Department at Humboldt State University to coach students through producing their first major event. As part of this endeavor, I founded and ran a non-profit in partnership with Humboldt State in which I wrote and procured extensive grants and donations to fund the event production. I developed and designed the annual event, recruited volunteers, conducted interviews, and created and mentored student teams satisfying a primary requirement for matriculation in Recreation Administration.
