Now most of my way through my PHD I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life.Having completed my Masters by Research in Human Movement Science in 2014, I am now moving onto several studies in Bone Health in older athletes. Other research interests include the bone health of Indigenous Australians, resistance training as a method of improving bone health and performance in individuals who have a history of low bone density. Looking at TBS and HSA for bone quality as well as bone quantity. In 2011 I became an accredited exercise physiologist with ESSA, in 2013 was awarded the international clinical scholars award from the American College of Sports Medicine and in 2014 presented a poster at the European Congress of Sport Sciences in Amsterdam.Finally supporting Indigenous youth to be able to attend university, and understand their challenges has become a passion and I look forward to again in 2015 helping as many of these children realise University is an option for them.
