As the Manager for Automation in the Capital Equipment Market Unit I was responsible for the management of automation technology initiation, development and integration for Underground and Surface mining equipment.Key Responsibilities• Facilitate preparation of strategies for technology development with international groups;• Facilitate preparation and communication of development with international stake holders;• Manage Automation project execution and provide technical and commercial leadership;• Liaise with suppliers and customers on commercial and technical matters;• Manage day to day technical and training requirements of project team members.

As the Mining Automation Lead in the Automation Program Group I was responsible for the technical leadership of a team of software and hardware engineers.Key Responsibilities• Planning, overseeing and assisting with execution of software & hardware development.• Technical supervision of system integration and system testing.• Supervision of site installation and commissioning.• Facilitation of site based and off site risk workshops.
