Together with multiple interfaces between these and other applications it creates a complex and challenging environment to manage and support.My role requires a broad knowledge and understanding across multiple technologies and infrastructure, and I play a pivotal role in the design and strategic direction of Database technology and its integration into the solution architecture. Achievements have included; - The migration of Oracle databases from multiple physical servers to a VMware ESX cluster as an interim hosting location for consolidation and licensing remediation. - Preparing the business case and subsequent procurement and hosting of Idera SQL Diagnostic Manager as the strategic monitoring tool for SQL Server. - Provisioning one of the first B-business suite 12.2.4 environments in Australia. - Managing the technical implementation of two Oracle Exadata X4-2 appliances into geographically separate data-centres and the migration and consolidation of Oracle databases to this platform with Active Dataguard used as the strategic disaster recovery methodology. - Co-ordinating multiple business and technical groups for Quarterly Exadata Full Stack Patch updates.
