Hi my name is Campbell Scott, I am currently studying Sports Management at the University of Edinburgh.I am from South Africa, however I moved to Scotland 3 years ago to finish high school and go to university. Sports are one of my biggest passions and I currently cricket (for the University of Edinburgh) and have played rugby previously.I have experience in leading and coaching various teams in both of these sports. My academics however have also lined up with my sporting development thanks to my studies of Sports Management giving me a wide range of skills and interests in the sporting world. I have developed key skills in courses such as marketing, operations management, events management, sports communication as well sports and technology. The skills that I have acquired through these subjects, together with various business courses that I have done as well as my professional placement that I did at Cricket Scotland.I would like to take my skills that I have learnt to the next level and combine them with my applied skills from various coaching courses that I have done in both cricket and Rugby. I am a level 1 ICC qualified cricket coach, however I have also been given my level 2 certificate at the Gary Kirsten Coaching Academy. These applied skills make me extremely interested and knowledgeable in the areas of sports coaching, operations as well as media and analysis.

Head Coach And Youth Development OfficerMelrose Cricket Club Jan 2024 - PresentMelrose, Scotland, United KingdomSince the beginning of the year I have worked closely with Melrose Cricket Club in order to try and revitalise the youth section of the club in order to improve participation in cricket in Melrose. Alongside this, I have also been working hard with the senior team in order to try and improve results and promote the team through the leagues. This role so far has taught me a great deal surrounding the organisational skills needed in order to plan and execute sport programs. There have been many challenges so far that have afforded me the opportunities to improve on my skills and knowledge including; applying for funding, spearheading a project to build new training facilities, helping build a new website, building new social media platforms as well as planning and implementing many different varieties of training programs for both the junior team and senior team (including indoor preseason as well as a cricket camp).
