Manage the hiring of personnel and stay abreast of human resources developments and laws, coordinate with human resources for new hiring ramp-ups, staff development opportunities, mentoring/coaching and evaluations, employee relations, employee retention incentives, and other personnel matters. Providing leadership and programmatic oversight to federally funded programs with a multi-million dollar budget designed to improve wages, quality of life of low income families. Managed monthly output of financial expenditures for career training scholarships and cash substitutes for work support. Maintain a high level of internal and external customer service. Assist with workforce operations in career office: Service delivery, clearly communicating goals/expectations, providing excellent customer service. Handle all employee relations matters within unit. Staff Development: Provide training for new staff and offer best practices. Process timesheets for payroll; track attendance, vacation/personal leave.
