Spelman has incorporated the significance of learning key skills such as interviewing, networking, and being able to obtain career-accelerating opportunities that aren’t mentioned often. Working towards perfecting these skills has made me the individual I am today and keeps me very confident that I will have a successful future. My name is Camryn Bailey and I am a Chemistry Major on the Pre-Med track attending Spelman College. At Spelman, I am a part-time lab assistant for Chem 1 Lab. I assist students like myself with certain lab procedures, lab etiquette, and keeping the laboratory clean so that it is safe for others to use. I'm very interested in areas such as skin care, health informatics, and consideration for the black community. I am proficient in the python coding language, have first-hand experience in Chemistry Lab, and have earned my Harvard Core Business Readiness Certification in Economics, Business Analytics, and Financial Accounting/Analysis. My goal is to become a striving medical student at either Morehouse School of Medicine or Emory University in their Dermatology Residency. Long term, I aim to orchestrate a skincare company specializing in darker skin tones; targeting skin issues seen frequently in melanated skin such as eczema, hyperpigmentation, keloids, etc.
