Camryn Bailey is a Second-Year Human Performance Major Concentrating in Sports Medicine with a Minor in Chemistry on a Premedical Track at Howard University. She has a passion for the sciences including the many facets within the careers of medicine, sports medicine, and biomedical research. She has dedicated time to volunteering in healthcare, advocating for education and healthcare equity, and taking on opportunities for exposure to healthcare. She is a hardworking individual committed to helping others and expanding her knowledge through her studies and experiences as she paves her path to Medical School and her future career as a physicianWhile medical school is Camryn’s ultimate goal, she has also found a deep passion for advancing equity in higher education and advocating for the elimination of systemic barriers to education. She believes that education is the foundation and should be provided with equal access. In addition to Camryn’s dedication to her end goal as a physician, she also participates in advocacy efforts aimed at bringing resources and opportunities to underrepresented communities. Through partnerships with organizations like the National College Attainment Network, Leadership Brainery, and Carolina Youth Coalition, Camryn has advocated on Capitol Hill, strategized FAFSA improvement efforts, and actively been a resource on Howard’s campus as she strives to ensure that all individuals have the support and access they need to succeed.
