If you asked anyone who knows me what my interests are, I can confidently say the words "science" and "sports" would be mentioned. That being said, it makes sense as to why I love Exercise Science. I have found it to be the perfect way to marry my two interests and kill two birds with one stone. It never fails to amaze me how relevant science is to everyday life. I can tell someone what specific exercises they should do to get better at their sport. I can explain to someone why eyelashes will never get stuck behind their eyeball because there is a muscle called the palpebrae that makes that impossible. As annoying as it may seem, I love being able to spit interesting facts from a textbook. But much more than that, I love being able to use the knowledge I've gained to help someone else. There's nothing more satisfying to me than knowing that the things I'm learning can be more than just science.
