As the Chief Operating Officer for the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, I serve economically vulnerable communities in the Nashville, TN metropolitan region. In my role, I oversee the agency’s resident services, affordable housing (6000+ units), rental assistance (7000+ vouchers) human resources, and information technology departments. My team of 300 staff members house 30,000+ individuals each year.Some of my favorite previous roles include:*Executive Director of the Marion County Housing Authority working to house rural communities in Marion County, Oregon; *Member of the Oregon Housing Stability Council which provided leadership and set policy for Oregon's housing finance agency; *Member of the Northwest Pilot Project Board of Directors where we worked to support seniors experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness; and*A decade as a team member at Home Forward (formerly the Housing Authority of Portland) where I worked to support vulnerable communities impacted by rising housing costs and displacement.
