Assistant Service Manager
CurrentI started my roll here in the parts department. I was responsible for order all parts for shop and field techs. We are a heavy machinery shop. We sale, repair Komatsu machinery. We also work on Cat, Sennebogen, Bomag, Takewchi, Wacker and Gadell machines. I was responsible for reaching out to vendors through email or speaking them on the phone. I would line up the order and when the parts would be shipped. I would check in the parts and make sure they were received to the right jobs. I would communicate with the Techs when orders were filled for the job, so the job could be done.In June of 2023 I moved to the service department where I have currently taken on a new roll. I am the Service Manager Assistant.I still do order parts on occasion. My new responsibilities are as followed.I currently do time for all jobs preformed in the shop and field daily. I process all jobs(work orders), making sure labor, mileage, parts, notes, and all other charges are right before billing our customers. Adjust pricing if needed according to what the customer may have been quoted prior to work being done. When jobs are complete we process them and bill the customer. It will be a AR account, cash account, etc...I open jobs(work orders) daily, schedule the techs for their daily jobs if service manager is not available too. We work through JDE and also SERVPRO. I also do payroll, process bi-weekly time. I also process warranties as needed on parts or if the machine still is under warranty.
