Chris is the founder of Hapnyn.com, a San Diego-based software startup focused on connecting performing artists & venues with people who enjoy live entertainment.With more than 35 years of software development experience under his belt, Chris is never afraid to tackle something completely new. He got a taste for bending computers to his will when he wrote his first BASIC program in the fifth grade. Absorbing every book about computers and programming available at his school and public libraries, he honed his coding skills in THINK Pascal on his Mac Plus.After a brief stint as a music major in college, he realized his calling by getting a gig as a technical support specialist for a laser printer company. Within six months, he had formed the company's QA department, become an expert in the PostScript language, and soon after was fixing many of the bugs that the more senior engineers were unable to solve.After several more years of developing embedded systems, client/server architectures, and complex desktop applications for high-end publishing and video conferencing, he decided to branch out his own. He co-founded his first startup company, raising a seed round and building out a team of developers to help create one of the world's first graph databases.He formed Bloomdido Software in 2004 as a consulting business. With clients ranging from small shops and non-profits to Fortune 500 companies and Wall Street goliaths, Bloomdido Software remained focused on one thing – building software right.When he's not in front of a computer, Chris can be found enjoying live music from some of San Diego's many talented musicians, teaching karate, getting beat by his son on the tennis court, or occasionally performing with his own band, Soul Camp.
