About Cara Borealis
Portfolio: https://sites.google.com/view/caraborealisportfolio I’ve been fascinated by space exploration for as long as I can remember, and my passion is to work on the rockets that will allow humanity to explore the reaches of space. During graduate school, I worked on research developing a new hybrid thruster using a 3D printed ABS plastic fuel grain and electronic arc-ignition, and my thesis was written on developing a new sensor using a spectrometer and fiberoptic cable to measure radiative heat flux and plume composition in-situ with hybrid rocket motors. Beyond my engineering degree, I also have a minor in Anticipatory Intelligence to get a better feel for how my work will affect the world. Outside of classes and engineering I also love rock climbing, skiing, hiking, and I train in Aikido.Please Note: You may have previously known me under the last name Frischkorn
