I am a BFA Graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where I studied game design from the lens of both a developer and player. My degree offered flexibility in design focuses, enabling me to excel in narrative design, ethnographic research, and game writing practices. Since graduating, I have applied this experience through features-focused journalism, providing Game Rant readers with over one hundred articles ranging from mechanic deep-dives and character breakdowns to story analysis and critique. I continue my practice of creative games writing through exercises such as character bios, screenplays, and concept documents to bolster my skills in the developmental side of the medium.As a Narrative Designer, I have worked across platforms like Unity, Ren'Py, and Twine to intertwine story and mechanics in ways that work to the medium's interactivity, utilising choice-based dialogue, variable states, and even bullet-hell gameplay to inform narrative.
