Grew supporter list by 3000 names and engaged 60 activists across the state over a 2 summers.● Developed trainings and coaching techniques for staff and volunteers to advance the mission of Planned Parenthood such as public speaking skills, volunteer recruitment, planning events, fundraising, and meeting facilitation.
● Planned and conducted public policy campaigns to advance the mission of the Maine Women’s Policy Center and the Maine Women’s Lobby including paid sick leave and Supreme Court confirmations.● Developed and implemented the organizations’ first online communications strategies to engage their membership base through email marketing, branding and social media. Coordinated with staff, consultants and board members to do a rebrand of the organization’s online and print presence.● Executed communications strategies and earned media coverage by writing press releases, opinion editorial and letters to the editor, pitching to reporters and holding unique press conferences and events.No on 1 Campaign, Field Manager● Provided oversight to, and communication among, a broad based coalition working successfully to defeat the Taxpayer Bill of Rights that included SEIU, Maine Education Association, Maine Center for Economic Policy, consultants, women’s organizations, faith groups and community leaders.● Supervised coalition sub-committees, interns, and regional organizers.● Implemented statewide field plan for the coalition including statewide canvasses and phone banks of all major cities in southern Maine. ● Developed earned media strategies including organizing press conferences, coordinating letter to the editor campaigns, the speakers’ bureau and supervising media tracking intern.
