Responsible for the following activities regarding 4 legal entities:- Supervision of the monthly statutory accounting close in accordance with IFRS / BRGAAP- Review of the annual consolidated financial statements- Assist external auditors during the annual audit- Monitoring of accounting reconciliations (with focus on Intercompany, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Banks, Accruals, Fixed Assets and Provisions)- Review of monthly and annual tax calculations - Direct Taxes (IRPJ and CSLL), Indirect Taxes (PIS, COFINS and ISS), Withholding Tax (IRRF, CSRF, INSS and ISS) and Import Taxes (including CIDE)- Revision of accounting filings (ECD, IBGE) and tax filings (ECF, EFD, DCTF, PER/DCOMP)- Review and reconciliation of transfer pricing calculations- Implementing new procedures and improving processes related to accounting and tax routines- Participation in mergers and spin-offs, being responsible for the coordination of accounting and tax deliverables- Management of the statutory accounting team (3 direct reports)- Implementation of accounting and tax outsourcing and monitoring of activities performed by the external accounting firm

Along with the legal entity controller, responsible for coordinating the accounting team during the annual audit and the preparation of financial statements, including their publication in local newspapers. Participation in projects related to corporate restructuring (mergers and spin-offs), sales of business units and implementation of new accounting standards, such as IFRS 15, interacting constantly with other departments (finance, legal, tax planning, systems and business process).Annual impairment test of goodwill.Supervision of the local accounting close and participation in the group monthly close. Guidance and training on selected subjects to other members of the local team and to professionals working in the shared services centers (Costa Rica and Guatemala).Monitoring of critical items in the reconciliations, participation in monthly calls with the global controller (USA) and regular interaction with the transfer pricing and intercompany teams (UK and India).Weekly meetings with the Brazil controller to review activities (business as usual) and KPIs.

Responsible for producing financial statements in accordance with IFRS and BRGAAP, including consolidation of subsidiaries, foreign currency translation, elimination of intragroup transactions and allocation of goodwill and other intangible assets.Preparing the balance sheet and P&L monthly review, providing explanations for material deviations and assessing the integrity of financial ratios.Reconciling and implementing controls on accounts such as banks, taxes, investments, fixed assets and intercompany.Interface with teams in the USA, Costa Rica, India and Argentina reviewing reconciliations, providing trainings and developing standard operational procedures (SOPs).Supporting external auditors during annual audits of financial statements.

Responsible for creating and maintaining controls over intercompany transactions (loans, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable).Assisting auditors and external consultants during annual audits and direct tax reviews.Implementation of all the process related to several statutory filings (Brazilian Central Bank Census, Siscoserv and BEPS).

Responsible for bookkeeping (end to end) and preparing financial statements in accordance with BRGAAP / IFRS.Analysis of financial statements and presentations to internal and external clients.Calculation of direct and indirect tax and preparation of tax filings (ECD, DCTF, DIRF, FCONT, DIPJ, EFD and GIA).Participation in projects related to:• Internal controls: identification of deficiencies and redesign of internal procedures in manufacturing and services businesses with the aim of ensuring the accuracy of financial and tax reporting.• Tax planning: comparison of different tax regimes and their impact on product selling prices, taking into account fixed and variable costs, average collection period and the nature of transactions.

Indirect tax calculations and bookkeeping (ICMS, IPI, ISS and CSRF), including monthly and annual tax returns.

Monthly payroll, including vacation pay, 13th salary and computation of overtime, issuing social security payment vouchers, admission and severance routines and filing of payroll information to government entities.
