As the Senior Career Educator in Faculty of Science, I partner with Faculty, and work collaboratively with the Senior Language and Learning Educator and Senior STEM Educator to develop and implement a faculty aligned student success strategy that addresses all aspects of student success. I provide timely, targeted and inclusive front line career development and employability services and strategies to support the career readiness, professional identity development, connectedness and innovative and enterprising mindsets of all students.I work in close partnership with other Senior Career Educators from across faculties to strengthen the capacity of institutional courses, programs and academic staff to explicitly identify and address career development and employability needs in alignment with QUT’s Career Development Learning Framework. Using innovative pedagogical theory and practice and emerging technologies I work collaboratively with faculty, to ensure all aspects of student success, including career development and employability are accessible to all students.

Supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop their employability skills and career development mindset. I am committed to supporting people who want to build the careers they want though providing relevant tools and information and professional career coaching. I have been told that my active listening, questioning and action planning skills are among my strengths. A frequent consequence of applying these skills to the career issues that students and clients bring to me is their light bulb moment.

Assist clients of the Griffith University Careers and Employment Service to resolve career concerns and move forward with greater confidence. Specifically I helped clients in the following ways:- make decisions regarding course enrolments- find suitable part-time and casual work- prepare their marketing materials for applying for degree relevant work- get ready for and carry out job search- collect information on possible career directions following graduation

Responsible for leading a team of planners and risk management practitioners in designing and delivering strategic and operational planning and risk management processes and advice to the Portfolio Board of Management and its sub-committees and managers and staff throughout the portfolio of Department of Communities and Disability Services Queensland.Presented a plan for strengthening risk management within Disability Services Queensland and Department of Communities, which was endorsed by the Risk Management Committees in both agenciesInitiated and managed the preparation of the portfolio Business Unit Planning Information Resource Pack, which was used by all business units as a guide for preparing their business unit plans.
