• Spearhead Indiana Kids’ Election, a statewide mock election program for grades K-12, in coordination with the Indiana Department of Education and Office of the Indiana Secretary of State.• Pitch and place stories in print, broadcast and online media.• Edit and disseminate Association's biweekly e-newsletter to 12,000+ members.• Develop marketing strategies and creative campaigns for new product or program releases.• Create communication strategies in alignment with Association's long-range plan.• Write marketing pieces, brochures, and develop logos and artwork by teaming up with departmental creatives.• Develop and update multiple mobile apps for the Association.• Provide continuous coverage of Association events on Twitter stream and other social media channels to reach attendees and potential attendees.• Develop integrated social media plans creating Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn campaigns.• Create evaluation surveys, compile results and recommend changes for future events.• Collaborate with both agency and in-house talent.• Write, update and post Web copy.• Plan and develop programs, agendas, budgets and services according to member objectives.• Spearhead member events and press conferences.• Meet with sponsors and organizing committees to plan scope and format of events.• Use strong ability to multi-task, along with superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

Immediately following graduation from Franklin College, I was one of seven selected to the Governor’s Fellowship, a year-long program giving recent college graduates experience serving in state government.Fellows participate in the daily activities of state government, complete special projects, travel to observe how work in the State House translates into action throughout the state, and experience firsthand how policy is made. Responsibilities:• Researched and wrote press releases, media advisories.• Wrote and updated Web copy.• Recorded and set up sound equipment for governor’s daily press conferences.• Compiled morning, afternoon news clip reports for governor daily.• Responsible for weekly e-newsletter to subscribers.
