Bursar/Director of Student Accounts Receivable Department • Manage office personnel of 26 people including managers, supervisors and clerical staff. In charge of leadership, hiring and overseeing training of staff. • Work with the President’s Office for strategic initiatives for the college, customer services and other special projects. • Billing and collections of over $195M annually in student tuition accounts, fees, dorm/housing, meal plans and other College receivables for approximately 10,500 degree, non-degree and continuing education students utilizing electronic billing. • Responsible for Cashiering Operations; oversee reconciling funds from student payments, petty cash, departmental deposits, FIT student Loans, and other funds as necessary. • Responsible for oversight and reconciling of student web payments over $65M annually. • Work closely with IT, office staff, college departments and third-party vendor in development of the college’s website, i.e. Market Place Stores, UPay stores and other enhancements for student informational materials and payment aplications. • Supervision and utilization of mainframe information systems for student billing and maintenance of AR accounts including disbursements of federal, state and private funds for student accounts, i.e Tuition Assistant Program (TAP), Federal Student Direct Loans, Federal Perkins Loans, Private Loans, Scholar Funds. • Ensure regulatory compliance and disbursement of $55M annually for Federal and State student aid programs. • Accounting for College’s student financial records including preparing federal reports for Federal Cash Management Regulations, Federal & State compliance regulations and A-133 audits. • Work closely with College Directors, College Relations, Deans and Vice Presidents to ensure excellent student services and other communications between college offices including oversight for Bursar’s web pages on the college’s main website.

Collections of outstanding tuition and Federal lLoan Programs. Implement programs to reduce outstanding debt owed to the University. Entrance and exit interviews. Ensure compliance with Federal Loan Programs. All operations of managing office, Cashiering, cash flow, and audits and student services.

Coordinate loan programs for 15 financial aid departments/schools within Columbia Univ. Responsible for reporting Federal Loan Reports for Title IV and Health Professional Loan Programs.
