Work Experience: Care4Children, Head Office - 1 Stuart Road, Bredbury, Stockport, SK6 2SR – Currently Based in Pwhelli August 2017 – Present – Position Held: Therapeutic Care Practitioner (Qualified – Level 3) Duties include: Working mainly with girls who have come from a CSE background and providing them with care and support to overcome the difficulties and abuses they have faced in the past. This involves providing general day-to-day support, encouraging participation in various activities, attending educational facilities and dealing with issues both in their present lives and in the past. Its important for the girls I work with to have a positive male influence in their lives and this is something I bring to the home, making them feel safe and secure. Bryn Melyn Care, Head Office – Edward James House, Hadley Park East, Telford, TF1 6QJ – Based in Wrexham August 2016 – August 2017 – Position Held: Therapeutic Care Practitioner Duties included: Working mainly with boys who had come from an abusive background – both physical, sexual, drug and gang related problems. I helped to provide them with support and encouragement in all aspects of their lives and encouraged them to attend educational and extra curricular activities. A lot of these young boys have issues with females so it was important for me to help them understand their feelings towards females and encourage positive attitudes.
