I am a Graphics Research Lead/Manager at Meta RL Research. My prior work has spanned 3D graphics applications, graphics driver development, graphics architectures, immersive computing, and machine learning in real-time rendering. My interests are in generative AI + graphics, graphics architectures, and cognitive computing. In Carl’s 24+ year career at Intel, he started and managed SW graphics driver team, developed numerous 3d graphics algorithms in the Intel Architecture Labs, architected graphics architecture solutions, developed new computer simulations and programming languages, and developing next generation AI augmenting graphics and generative AI solutions. Carl has 60+ patents issued and published several technical papers and book chapters. Carl earned a Masters in Computer Science from Clemson University.

Worked with Business Units on integrated the Labs touch client, display calibration, and developing designs for small form factor compute/display/depth devices. Worked with a clinical psychologist, in the Intel User Experience Lab, on adding emotional expression to enrich the user interaction to the “display anywhere” project.
